The digital streaming firm reported a 261% surge in quarterly revenue, though net profit margin eased from the prior year.
Varanium Cloud's Q3 FY24 earnings show explosive growth, with revenue and profit up over 260% and 196% year-on-year, respectively.
Varanium Cloud delivered a blockbuster quarter, with both revenue and profit multiplying several times over. The digital audio, video, and blockchain streaming services provider saw its top and bottom lines surge, signaling a powerful expansion phase.
Revenue for the quarter ended December 2023 skyrocketed to ₹395.15 crore, a staggering 260.9% increase compared to the ₹109.49 crore reported in the same quarter last year. Profit after tax followed this explosive trajectory, nearly tripling to ₹87.68 crore from ₹29.6 crore, marking a 196.2% year-on-year growth.
However, this rapid revenue expansion came with a slight trade-off in profitability. The net profit margin (PAT margin) for the quarter stood at 22.2%, down 480 basis points from the 27.0% margin recorded in Q3 FY23. This indicates that while sales grew at an extraordinary pace, profit growth, though immense, did not keep pace proportionally.

Beyond the headline earnings, the company maintains a robust financial profile. It operates with zero debt and boasts a high return on equity of 59.17%. The stock trades at a significant discount to its industry, with a price-to-earnings ratio of just 0.2 compared to the sector average of 19.5.
Varanium Cloud's latest results demonstrate its ability to capture significant market growth, though the margin dip suggests the cost of this rapid scaling is worth watching in upcoming quarters.
